An interesting job last week was lifting a silent pile driver into place on a tricky site in Exeter.
Most pilers make a lot of noise as the pile driver is rammed repeatedly into the ground. Obviously, this can cause a lot of annoyance and disruption for neighbours. However, a silent piler pushes the pile into the ground to the required depth without noise or vibration.
